planned her personalized challenge of Bidens stance, but even then she continued to surge,
Certainly, Biden supporters, as would be expected, disliked her approach. Most Dems saw her as a real contender, however, the candidate who could beat Trump in debate, and roundly championed her for showing guts, brilliance, passion, and honesty. Here at DU, she was applauded for giving it to him, for proving she could take on an established, older man with some political stature and render him speechless, flustered.
Acclaim was much more the rule among liberals than was disapproval although with time, and her own revelation about rehearsal, more people voiced discomfort with her strategy.
Still, that debate moment launched her into a kind of celebrity on the national stage and drew more supporters to consider her a serious threat to Trump. Bidens AA support took a hit, and it was thought that she would likely keep gaining AA endorsements and lead with the electorate.
What happened from there was not some retribution for bringing it to Biden so much as a combination of factors. As we have learned before, attention brings greater criticism while both the media and the public are fickle fingers, loving to cast down the very personalities they have elevated.
