Is there any legislative outcome that was impacted by her absence? If so, I understand the outrage. A more honest headline would read, "Co-chair of Gabbard's opponent's campaign wants her to resign."
Gabbard has already stated her intentions to leave Congress. She appeared unlikely to survive a primary challenge from the Establishment Democrats. There will be an election either way in November. No need to waste money on a special election for a vote that has .001% impact on the legislative process. But Gov. Abercrombie, here is that attention you ordered.
