After coronary thrombosis and ischaemia, with stunt placement, the American Heart Association REQUIRES DAPT (dual anti-platelet therapy) usually consisting of ticagrelor (Brilinta®) twice a day and 81 mg of Aspirin per day. In addition, they require lisinopril and atorvastatin as well. This regime has to be continued for 1 year and will soon be revised to two years.

Only a fool would stop DAPT 3 months into the stent placement because the risk of stent-thrombosis is exponential and stent thrombosis has an extremely high fatality rate.

This letter is disingenuous if not bogus.

Here is the American College of Cardiology-American Heart Association update from 2016 regarding duration of DAPT -

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
