In reply to the discussion: Barack Obama supporters outraged by Bernie Sanders' 'deplorable' attack on Democratic Party [View all]The Velveteen Ocelot
(115,927 posts)I did in 2016 but he lost me when he was such a bad sport after Clinton secured the nomination and his supporters tried to disrupt the convention. He showed himself to be a my-way-or-the-highway sort of guy, and made it worse more recently by hiring the likes of Nina Turner, Brihanna Gray and David Sirota, and he continues to bash the Democratic Party, of which he is a member only when it's useful for him. He would be an ineffective president because all presidents need the support of their party in order to get their policies through Congress. Especially since it's clear that the GOP will continue to obstruct as they did during the Obama administration, a Democratic president will need Democrats' support more than ever. If Bernie keeps kicking other Democrats in the nuts at every opportunity, does he really think they'd have his back if he gets to be president?
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
