(32,640 posts)Even if we take back WH AND the Senate in 2020, if Senator Sanders' bill gets a cost analysis from the CBO that's acceptable to the public, and then reaches the floor, refusing to support and strengthen the ACA protections that are keeping many people alive isn't going to help those people until then. In fact, the opposite.
Then it will take years, if not decades, after all that to transition and implement fully.
This sadly appears to be political theatre leading up to elections at the potential expense of people's health care NOW. I thought the primary goal of progressives was to get health care to people who need it in the soonest, most effective way possible, and not be predicated on validating a particular political brand/getting rid of health insurance companies.
