(18,714 posts)We are watching in real time a repeat of the types of divisive nonsense that blew up 2016.
The only individual this election should be about is the narcissistic asshole currently sitting in the Oval Office. When bullshit like the above is spread far and wide, make no mistake, it does have an influence on those who are less well informed. Equating Biden to Trump is simply nonsense.
While I may agree with Sanders on many issues, I'm not naive enough to think that his way is the only way or that those who don't share his EXACT beliefs are somehow enemies. If Bernie disagrees with the posts his subordinates are posting on Twitter, then he needs to come out and make a strong statement and put an end to this now. As an observer, it would be easy for me to say that he has brought into his campaign leadership a group of individuals who care more about electing Bernie than they do about actually getting democrats elected. At the end of this primary, that has the be our primary goal, no matter who ultimately prevails in the nomination. I hope Bernie addresses this and puts a stop to it immediately, but I'm not convinced that will happen.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
