In reply to the discussion: If Biden wins the nomination can he unite the party by picking Bernie Sanders as VP? [View all]Moostache
(11,311 posts)9. If Biden wins the nomination, he will have a person of color as his running mate, period.
Castro
Booker
Harris
Maybe one of them, most likely not from that list though...I would expect that Castro would get the most consideration as Harris and Booker might be strong candidates for cabinet slots as well, hell maybe all 3 would be...
I would expect Stacy Abrams name to come up, but not seriously be a consideration (or that she would even WANT to be considered)...
In the end, if it is Joe that wins the nomination, then Andrew Gillum would make a lot of sense in some ways, and would provide some symmetry with the 2008 and 2012 winning tickets as well.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

I thought I had heard something about her not having a lot of interest in the VP role earlier...

Gillum has some problems with an FBI probe so he is out of the question. nt

I said this the other day, that Biden people should want Warren's campaign to kick into gear.

I really want this to be the end of Sanders on and off relationship with the Democratic Party.

This! Today's cheap shot from the sanders campaign at Biden is typical of his divisiveness

No he won't. Sanders is the one that holds the odds of picking a VP outside our party.

Joe's motto: Never promise anything you can't deliver. Bernie is the opposite of that.

Absolutely not... pick the one who will help the ticket and neither Sanders nor Warren fit the bill.
