(1,898 posts)I realize that no amount of facts will convince you of the error of your ways in accusing Bernie of inflating his numbers by encouraging people to contribute multiple times in smaller amounts, of which he is guilty. If anything, he is guilty of showing the new model to future campaigns, such as Ocasio-Cortez for President 2028. I concede that my facts have failed to sway your thinking. HOWEVER...

In 2019Q3, Sanders had 300,000 NEW donors. "New" is defined as people who had not contributed to the campaign previously in the 2020 cycle. These people were counted once during the quarter, REGARDLESS of the number of contributions during the quarter. ONCE, ONCE, ONCE, ONCE, ONCE and the aggregate of first-time donors was yuge.
Demonstrate your best attempts at the mental lambada, if you wish. Your accusation moved beyond being irrelevant and immaterial to moot.
