It is possible to go years without income for many ventures, in particular if they are on the cutting edge of technology where a product is not yet developed or not yet accepted by paying customers. He could be a principal who is taking no salary, that happens often in some cases of relatively new venture capital firms. Once they get a hit idea, then the big money starts rolling in, but early years can be thin. I take him at his word because for anyone that know something about that field, it is easy to find out if he is lying. Why would he risk bad exposure?
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
