Just because I may disagree with them on some issues, doesn't mean I won't acknowledge when I think they are right. Tearing down anyone and everyone who is a self-described conservative is not productive and will only serve to make our divisions that much greater.

There is a hardcore republican base out there that will probably never try to find common ground, but there are other moderates who are not extreme and want to help heal the country. We won't win every fight, but if we don't close our minds, we won't lose every fight either.

And no, I don't think Rubin wants two republican parties. I think that like so many of us, she wants some sanity and competence in DC. Then we can go back to disagreeing with her on so many issues that we care about.

primary today, I would vote for:
