Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: Warren supporters need to know that their vote for Warren could wind up being a vote for Bernie. [View all]LiberalLovinLug
(14,659 posts)Firstly, maybe you could have put the effort in to capitalize Bernie Sanders last name at the very least.
Secondly, how in hell does a vote for Warren HELP Sanders? Other than it helps further the push towards a more progressive, positive, people-centric candidate winning. Someone who shares Sanders goals and someone he can work with.
Thirdly, I would love to have an explanation from a Warren supporter that they "hate" Sanders. And why. Considering that Sanders has the closest platform to hers. Are you admitting that simply gender is making your decision? That you are happily ignorant of candidates platforms and are only voting to break the glass ceiling? What other explanation is there? You do realize that IF Warren had the same money raised, the same grass root support, and was seen as the same kind of threat that Sanders seems to be to the status quo, or if they do manage to smear Sanders until he is compelled to drop out, all that ire will focus on Warren. BECAUSE THEY BOTH THREATEN THE SAME ESTABLISHMENT!
I think there may be a few Warren supporters that have those kinds of self-defeating blinders on, but I am confident that most Warren supporters are smart enough to support her because of her tough talk and determination to reign in the power of the corporate classes, and to begin the start of MFA......much like Bernie..
And those that support Sanders, or Warren, are the majority. Deal with it. Democrats want real change. The third way is over.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
