(4,341 posts)between the kind of "Socialism" that Bernie wants, which is a "Social-Democratic" government where capitalism is the business model but it is regulated to allow for the social services that a government is supposed to provide to its people, to disallow greed and corruption, it is not for free, these come out of taxes that people pay from working at capitalist businesses/industries, but taxes are regulated to allow those who make more to pay more and those who make less to pay less, which is the way it should be.
I believe he fails in explaining exactly what he is for, he has tried but doesn't seem to do it in a way that would shut people up about him being a "socialist". There is not "socialism" in the World, socialist rhetoric is used by communists who are nothing but dictators to attact the people, once they vote for them the country ends up like Venezuela, Bolivia, etc.
Yes, he has called himself a socialist, and last time he did that he did it out of anger because of the question regarding healthcare and free education, to believe that he is a socialist is to not understand what socialism is really about.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
