In public, President Donald Trump has fixated on mocking Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) as crazy and has focused on assuring supporters of how badly hed crush the left-wing senator in a general election and protect them from Sanders creeping socialism.
In private, Trump has often expressed different worries about the 2020 candidate.
In fact, Sanders would have won last time, and he will win this time against Trump. He is in fact, our best hope against Trump's second term. The GOP have all but used up the scare word "socialist" now. From the industry controlled "ACA" and Obama, to the Green New Deal, everything is big bad socialism. The boys who called "wolf" too often. The last thing Trump wants is to face another populist, who appeals to independents. I just hope Democratic delegates understand that soon enough.
