7. Nothing happened before Bernie decided to run for president.

I'm being sarcastic, of course, but there are many of his supporters who act as though that's a truism. I usually write it off as people new to politics who don't understand that the Democratic party has a long history of fighting for women and fighting for minorities and fighting for poor people and fighting for education, etc. It could also be that they're being intentionally obtuse.

I do think that Warren made a bit of a tactical error by aligning herself with Sanders early on in the campaign on stuff like M4A. I think it's caused her to suffer a bit from blowback he's received on a couple of issues, simply by association.

That's hindsight, of course, and it's difficult to know what could or should have been done differently. As I noted above, I don't really get why she isn't doing much better than he is. Conventional wisdom is that they're splitting the same contingency, but I'm not sure that's all there is to it.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
