I'm so sick of hearing this "revolution" shit. People who believe such things are living in a fantasy world and have no idea how politics actually works. Sure, I get that they're frustrated (and impatient) but mature voters understand that you don't always get your way, that compromise is necessary, and that progress takes time.

I'll never understand why some voters (and some politicians) take such great personal pride in their "no compromise... all-or-nothing" attitude. They are actually PLEASED to make ZERO progress and to not even get a single slice of bread (forget the proverbial "half a loaf" thing) and sadly, what appears to be most important to the most vain and egotistical are the "bragging rights" of standing one's ground and not giving an inch. It's sad to see how many want to make it about themselves, or judging others to be less than themselves, rather than focusing instead on what's best for the most vulnerable among us and what will provide some benefit immediately.

In the real world, compromise is necessary. We can only move forward and make progress if we're able to find common ground and mutually shared interests. Look closely and it's easy to see that "progress" is the root of "progressive". People seem to forget that slow progress IS STILL PROGRESS! Why give that up? Why leave it on the table? Why walk away from it?

The answer of: "pride and vanity" (and stubbornness) often explains why.
