(27,835 posts)Its way too soon to tell. We are seeing some really promising candidates. But what we mostly know of them is how they acted in their previous political positions.
This is the time when we watch them act in terms of a potential presidency a role none of them have been cast in before now.
There are so many things that count and it is still too early to do a final scoring. Intelligence, personal charisma a sense of dedication to duty, a sense of humour a willingness to compromise, a willingness to stand firm. These are all attributes that will be measured over the coming year, and no one yet knows which might overshadow another or who will wind up being seen as the perfect blend of all of the above.
No need to ask others to convince you because its ultimately up to a candidate to convince you, not one of his/her supporters.
But you know that.
