(29,236 posts)potential voters - folks whose top priority is the environment (as well as some other progressive issues like pay equity, etc) - will feel like their issues will be addressed as a priority rather than just incremental progress being offered. I cant overstate the importance of this.
More folks are concerned that climate is an existential threat than ever before. We cant ignore this, and if the Greens platform is noticeably stronger than ours, we could easily lose more to them than we have in the past.
Sanders, Warren and Steyer have real green economy transformative platforms, e.g., quit tax support of oil, start funding solar. As a party, we need to put our best ideas together. And man, wed be in much better shape if we could form an alliance with the greens... we might not like their leadership but we could sure a hell use their voters.
