The utter STUPIDITY of "Always believe the woman"---- [View all]

Really? "Always believe" or even "usually believe" the woman?

How is this different from "Always believe the white guy?"

The adult?

The cop?

We should always take anyone's allegation that they were wronged seriously. We should listen with respect, but not with automatic "belief" based solely on the gender, race, age or profession of the parties: the accuser and the accused.

It is absolutely true that, until relatively recently, women who complained that a man had sexually harassed or even assaulted them were quite often not taken seriously. The entire subject of men treating women as sexual toys was treated---by men---as "no big deal" or "just the way things are". THAT WAS WRONG. It is being corrected by women AND men of good conscience.

But, to say that any accusation by any woman against any man of any sexual impropriety is inherently true is just too silly for words. We are surely better than that.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
