(26,068 posts)Independents will vote against him and even lots of Democrats who are business people. My daughter is a Democrat & general manager of a restaurant and she has said will not vote for Bernie. She doesn't even want to vote for him in the general, she's thinks he's way too impulsive and not grounded at all in the real world. My CPA sister is Independent and she wouldn't vote for Bernie either, both of them despise him. They would vote for Joe, Amy or Pete.
I'm working on them to try to get them to commit to "blue no matter who", but so far they don't even want to vote for him if he's the candidate in the general. Yes, Bernie will bring in new people, but those same young people massively undervote in the general. If he turns off middle class workers, which he definitely does, he will destroy our party in the general. However, a progressive centrist will not drive off the party and could win.
RT supports Bernie for a good reason.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
