(12,998 posts)Some may like Hillary more than Bernie, others may like Bernie more than Hillary, but none of them like Trump... and they even chose a candidate who was underwater in favorables, that's how much they didn't like Trump (i.e. to get as close as she did, she actually had to get many votes from people who didn't particularly like her). So I think all those states likewise go to Bernie. If anything, the demographics favor Bernie more this time, because 4 years later, we have a new influx of voters who were too young to be eligible go vote last time, and the youth vote heavily favors Sanders.
So to me, the big variable as to whether or not Bernie can beat Trump is whether he can sufficiently out-perform Hillary to be able to beat Trump in at least three of these states: Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, and Florida.
