(13,390 posts)When someone has been violently raped, or molested as a child, or experienced job loss over rejecting advances of male colleagues or employers, touches that feel even slightly intrusive can be even worse than uncomfortable.
With me too, we know for a fact that this means tens of millions of women may experience these touches differently from what is intended.
Knowing this was helping us move into an era where these experiences are no longer a normal part of life such women have to accept so as not to inconvenience powerful people.
Now, we have discovered that the numerical reality means men we like (ie. John Conyers, Charlie Rose, Kevin Spacey....) didn't realize they had been a part of it and will be faced with viewing their past behavior in accordance with today's norms.
From what I have seen Joe Biden understands that. I don't see why this attack on women that imposes a judgement of "legitimate" personal perception of an experience is circulating.
It's possible to decide on what it means to us without taking it personally and demonizing the women who have talked publicly about their feelings on it.

primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
