Some pan out, others don't. Many of the revelations are from incidents occurring in the distant past. 'Believing' their accounts costs nothing, but is an encouragement for others to come forward.
Not believing women has been a shameful standard of the past. The movement adopted a determination to 'believe' women, mostly because of that insensitivity and the stifling effect it has had on women coming forward.
I've seen very little to suggest to me that these accusers shouldn't be supported in coming forward. The political affiliation is a misnomer, given that most Democrats and folks here had no problem with the political affiliations of Kavanaugh's accuser. This is a partisan defense of a politician, risking unraveling the support generated by the movement for politics' sake.
The consistent position is to support women by 'believing' their stories when they relate them, even if they happen to fall on our favorite politician. It's the least we can do to establish space for women to come forward and share their experiences without fear of recrimination.

primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
