Democratic Primaries

(11,252 posts)that is a Big IF - we shall see in the coming weeks.
I was around for the '72 election and most of the McGovern supporters were the "anti-war" crowd. These days we have those of us that supported McGovern in 72 and also those that are tired of Corporate America owning our Government. We're tired of the never-ending wars, most legislation on both sides of the aisle being written by lobbyists, tired of the Inequality, tired of the "War on Women", and also sick and tired of the GOP and their unwavering support for the WORST PRESIDENT IN AMERICAN HISTORY. Bernie has overwhelming support by young people and to his credit has been consistent his entire political life.
I think the only mistake he might have made is his MFA position - if he would simply compromise and adapt the Buttigieg "Medicare for those who want it" - he would win easily.
America is MUCH, MUCH more progressive that we were in 1972 - and ready for REAL Change.
I ,like most everyone else, wants someone that can rid us of TRUMP - time will tell but I am considering voting for Bernie (I did last time) in the Texas Primary. If he shows solid support by Blacks in SC and Hispanics in Nevada - that will make up my mind.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
