"No far left democrat can get elected president." I don't know if these conclusions that people make are based on sound bites, or detail research, because for everything I have heard and read about Sanders, he is not a "far left" candidate, he is not a "Socialist" (don't forget that for republicans, all Democrats are socialists), he is a "Democratic Socialist" which is capitalism with regulations, the government providing social services as it was intended to do, no $400 million bonuses, etc.
The worst part of all this is that 90% of people cannot explain what "Socialism" is, its just a word that people like to toss around, Democrats toss it to Sanders and republicans toss it to every Democrat around, even those who are not running. People have forgotten that Obama was accused, over and over, that he was a socialist.
We are eating our own, this needs to stop.
