141. My first presidential election

And I, too, was ecstatic as I cast my vote for McGovern, only to see my dreams shattered on the rocks.

I’m a hard left-liner. Hell, I might even be a socialist.

But the rest of the country *isn’t*. And America will not elect a self-proclaimed socialist president.

I would love to see a radical lefty like Bernie be elected president. But it will never happen. Not even against the worst president of my lifetime. Mark my words — if Bernie is our nominee, he will not break 40% of the popular vote. Trump will win by a landslide and we will tumble the rest of the way into a fascist dictatorship.

I’m still hoping that Warren somehow pulls it out. If she doesn’t, I don’t really have a second choice. But I guess that I’d go with Klobuchar at that point. She’s electable and would make a great alternative to Trump.

Gotta keep it real.
