Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: Bloomberg-do you trust him? [View all]Tom Rinaldo
(23,185 posts)13. I don't trust that he would govern in line with how he currently is presenting himself
to a Democratic electorate in a primary battle. I am positive he would move to the center, both in a General Election AND as President Given that he is already positioning himself as "a moderate", an anticipated further shift rightward in office is of great concern to me. Obviously a President Bloomberg governing from the center assumes the defeat of Donald Trump, which is of existential importance. But before we had a crypto-fascist in the White House, what the actual policies and priorities that a President likely would have as their intent used to be of pretty high importance to Democrats. We don't need to nominate Michael Bloomberg to defeat Donald Trump, and therefor IMO we shouldn't.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
