but if Steyer can pull out second place in Nevada, then first place in South Carolina, I look for him to spend like crazy in the two days before Super Tuesday. There is no "inevitable" nominee going into ST this time around, and people will be in a situation where they face a larger-than-normal set of choices. Advertising could make a difference.

I saw Steyer's behavior during the Sanders-Warren spat at the end of the Iowa debate, and he was just trying to be friendly to both of them. When asked what they said, he declined to reveal any of the ugliness of it. He has not knocked any other Democratic candidate in the debates or in his advertising, and he could be a unifying force.

The Sanders supporters will go ballistic if Bloomberg comes away with the nomination, and the people who are attracted by Bloomie's money can wrap themselves around Steyer's willingness to spend his own money to fight Trump. He makes a good consensus candidate if it comes down to the scenario I've described.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
