109. First of all, the email controversy wasn't a real scandal.

Second, I think it is very likely that the eventual Democratic candidate will suddenly find themselves under Justice Department investigation. You can be sure that there will be some type of swift boating operation, some kind of made up mega-scandal.

Third, Trump has one big advantage this time that he didn't have last time--the ability to claim credit for Barack Obama's successes.

Finally, people are far more numb to the danger that Trump poses, and far more willing to normalize his behavior then they were last time. There are plenty of people who think he deserved to be impeached and removed from office who will never-the-less vote to re-elect him.

All that said, we need to unite to defeat Trump, no matter who the ultimate candidate is.
