(42,862 posts)I believe some see it as a "do over" or perhaps some sort of "redemption" in an effort to assuage the resentment and to sweeten the sour grapes. All I see is someone who has the greatest contempt for the Democratic party and isn't hesitant to let the world know that he thinks that Democrats are "corrupt" and "feeble" and that the party is "ideologically bankrupt" and that Democrats are the "party of the one percent" or the "party of the elite". It's difficult for me to express how angry it makes me when I hear someone say things like "there's no difference between the parties".
Things like that only create distrust and suspicion. It divides the party and a divided party is a weakened party. And that benefits the GOP, and Trump, and Russia.
Someone in that campaign thinks they can just ride-it-out until it's too late.
Fact of the matter is, it's the equivalent of Pleading-the-Fifth. Not definite proof of wrongdoing, but absolutely suspicious. And... it's a great big "FUCK YOU" to the American people, to the Democratic party, and to the other candidates.
Why would someone who's always made "honesty" and "transparency" a cornerstone of their principles NOW (suddenly and without explanation) be so willing to sacrifice those principles? You can't pick-and-choose like that. People are beginning to say that it's hypocritical. Maybe I'm starting to agree with them.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
