SWP was unabashedly Marxist. They were not the Communist Party.

I don't know what he said about Iran--I'm sure you've dredged that up already--but a lot of us had sympathy for the revolution that overthrew the US-backed Shah and his hated secret police. And not so much sympathy for the US government that tried to impose him on Iran.
