7. The problem is a brokered convention means assumptions are made about the will of the voters.

Because we know that Sanders is the 2nd choice for a lot of voters...as hard as that is for DUers to accept.

The best thing for all of us is for someone to win a majority. The next best thing is for someone to have a large plurality. Anything else and it's going to get ugly.

I was scoffed at over a year ago when I said a brokered convention will have a greater chance of happening than usual, which I said based on the fact that so many people planned on running. I never thought it was likely--just that it was more likely than usual. Now, though, the possibility is stronger. That said, I still think we can avoid a brokered convention.
