(52,275 posts)forcing them to make any major changes in their personal lives. I'm no fan of private insurance, but apparently a lot of people have great insurance that they love. If private companies can compete with a good government run public option, then good for them. If not, private insurance will gradually become extinct, which is probably what will happen. The government won't pay huge CEO salaries and cater to share holders.
You know, I remember how bent out of shape everyone became at the prospect of the ACA mandate! It helped republicans take back the house and the senate. Obama's popularity suffered so badly, that Democrats running for reelection didn't even want him to campaign for them. Just imagine what Medicare for All would do to Democrats.
