Democratic Primaries

(91 posts)Sanders is a self-labelled socialist with a record that, among many other "negatives," includes overt praise for Fidel Castro and a honeymoon in Moscow. Republicans will tar and feather him with that history for months. Moreover, the combination of his snarky staff and his obnoxious "Bernie-bro" followers have turned off a lot of democrats and independents who might actually agree with many of his policies. The fact that he wants to force people off private medical insurance they might prefer to retain doesn't help either.
He'll be a disaster for down-ballot candidates in many states/races we'll need to win in order to take back the senate. Moreover, I doubt he'll even beat Trump after the repub lie-machine has chewed on his record for 5 months.
The Democratic party has/had no business allowing a non-democrat to run in their primaries. And another Trump term will likely finish the United States as we know it.
Democratic party leaders have met the enemy and he is them. Crap.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
