(91,388 posts)They actually get up off their asses and go vote.
I will never forget the interview with the two exhilarated Bernie supporting college kids just before the 2016 Iowa caucuses. Lordy they were high on Bernie.
And then came the question: so, you cant wait to go to the caucuses and vote for Bernie then? Answer from both of them. Uh, no, I have waterpolo practice.
And after Hillary won the nomination? You heard lots of wailing and whining and insistence that he woulda/coulda/shoulda won! But the rallies!!! The rallies!!!
The rallies. Reality check: the rallies dont mean squat if you dont follow up and go VOTE. I dont care how big they supposedly were. Or how many were in the overflow rooms or outside the arenas. Absolutely MEANINGLESS if those numbers dont show up to VOTE.
When the kids yelling their hearts out for Bernie in the flesh and online, and actually flex the muscle of their numbers and enthusiasm, AND GET THEIR ASSES TO THE POLLS AND VOTE, then Ill be a believer.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
