(628 posts)College costs have gone up and continue to rise, the other thing that doesn't help are the student loan interest that they are allowed to charge. It took me over 20 years to pay my school loans off and I tried not to borrow much (yeah right) by working 30 plus hours a week. Plus I had the GI bill that was about 400 a month for 4 years to help out. Just paid mine off last year.
I am really not sure what the solution is but a free for all for college isn't it. IMHO
Yeah not sure why even Obama didn't put taxes on the wealthy when he was in there, I know we were recovering there for a bit. Once he saw the economy was stable he should have brought their tax rate up. I mean how much money do those billionaires need? They don't notice or do anything different based on whether or not they are taxed.
BTW I would much rather see Warren than Bernie if she seems like someone who could bring people together. Bernie is right behind tulsi in my book and I don't like how he kept it quiet that Russia was helping him. That is very suspicious no matter what.
