I guess you don't have a phd, but somehow it was super important to you to point out that you are a "scientist".

My research is currently on brain cancer, and my thesis research was in pharmaceutical chemistry and structural biology. I wrote a program that allowed researchers to create high quality protein homology models in seconds, allowing some of the first Langevin-dynamics simulations of proteins with sidechains, which has helped us understand how proteins fold and mis-fold and cause disease. I have worked in pharmaceutical discovery for 23 years, on cancer, inflammation, cystic fibrosis, pain, polycystic kidney disease, AAT, and a host of other diseases. So yeah, you could say that my work has had an "impact".
