I decline to be interested in sharing a cookie with you.
I once did have cookies and tea with Freeman Dyson in his office at the Institute of Advanced Study. Were one to blithely assume that he had a Ph.D. based on his work on quantum electrodynamics, showing the equivalence of Tomonoga's, Feynman and Schwinger's of formulations of QED, one would of course, be wrong.
The degree to which people can be wrong reflects how rapidly they are willing to engage in rote assumptions based on weak biases.
I can honestly say that an afternoon with Freeman Dyson was very memorable; this conversation which is more about ignorance than science, assuredly won't be. Dyson could hold forth on any topic. Although I I can't sit in front of a commercial television set without seeing an ad for at least one compound in whose development I worked, I certainly didn't discuss proteomics dynamics with him.
I see you're very impressed with yourself; me less so.
If you were Ramy Farid, CEO of Schrodinger Inc, who provide world class QSAR software, this would not imply you know anything at all about climate change. Changing the subject suggests you know nothing at all on the subject.
Most of my posts on this website address issues in science. They speak for themselves.
I once, early in my career, worked with a scientist who was an outstanding organic chemist. When directed to synthesize a compound, he was excellent at producing the compound meeting rigorous analytical specifications. He was also a creationist. Ultimately we had to fire him because of his interaction with women.
His Ph.D in organic chemistry and high powered post docs, of course did not imply that he understood the molecular biology of evolution.
This sort of thing of course, may escape some weak thinkers of course, as the present exchange demonstrates.
You know, my mother died of a brain tumor, and I fully hope that there are people, irrespective of possibly having narrow but well focused intellects, will succeed at addressing this disease. I have personally worked on HDAC inhibitors and mapped acetylation profiles in histones 3 and 4, but that's of no consequence in this setting, is it?
A friend of mine lost a beloved niece to DIPG, so I certainly hope you are better in your field than you are at understanding climate science and Sanders' ignorance of the same.
Thanks for sharing you resume. I find it less than overwhelmingly impressive, and from this conversation can glean why you are so willing to buy into Sanders pablum on climate change. As I wouldn't have cookies with you I certainly wouldn't want to work with you.
Last year by the way, between six and seven million deaths were recorded from air pollution. This dwarfs deaths from brain tumors. That number will continue to rise were the policies Sanders endorsed allowed to prevail.
You could participate in saving more lost lives than you will ever save in your lab if you simply broadened your horizons to include topics you seem to know nothing about.
Have a nice afternoon.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
