On the other hand, the OP's statement that "Cuba Has Not Been A Bad Neighbor Or a Threat To the US -- Ever." is not something that we need to let stand. They've been a problem neighbor. I lived through Mariel 1 and Mariel 2 here in South Florida. Castro deliberately dumped people on the US to cause chaos here. We are guilty of imposing tough sanctions on Cuba and making a bad situation worse, but there is no justification for lack of free elections and imprisoning people of conscience. Castro came into power the month and year I was born. I turned 61 last month and there has not been a free election in Cuba in my lifetime.

I had EXACTLY Bernie's opinions regarding Castro when I moved to Florida, and I totally detest the leftovers of the Batista regime here in South Florida. On the other hand, I sympathize 100% with poor Cubans who could not speak their minds in Cuba, could not get access to internet and ended up in Florida happy to get a taste of freedom. There is absolutely no excuse for the continued denial of free speech and internet access in Cuba. Carter and Obama GOT this; Bernie does not.
