We wanted Cuba to be OUR tool. We hardass sanctioned them instead of using diplomacy. Russia took advantage of Castro's energy dilemma to make his deal.

Castro's choice to get energy help from Russia was the forced choice-that-was-no-choice because of OUR total sanctions.

WE caused the Russia insurgency into Cuba. We're causing Russia to take over Syria and Ukraine right now.

You might not like what Cuba had to do, so you can take that up with our former policy makers and presidents. But it's not your people who were dying in darkness due to our terrorist move that came upon the Cubans long before Russia did. You get to be all 20-20 hindsight righteous, don't you.
