(43,318 posts)Especially since over half a million of those were done in the context of today's GOP politics. So don't be so sure about why they wouldn't vote for Sanders. The "vote blue no matter who" is ringing across the disaffected of this country who really know that the economy under IF45 doesn't work for them, and threatens to take away what benefits the country still gets to keep itself together.
So I can't really buy the idea that Sanders can't win FL in the general. We'll see how the numbers look during the primaries. FL is, indeed, a battleground state just as much for the under-registered GOP there as for the Democratic Party.
I agree with everything you say about FDR. Anyone who's done any good for Americans has had that label shot at them like some lethal weapon.
Agreed about social democratic countries. We can get a lot of good ideas from our Northern European capitalist social democratic country allies, since they credit us with a lot of what they've implemented in the first place, just making improvements.
