Batista Cubans are the big martyr makers of their Batista troops. One once has America admitted to supporting the murderer that Mafia Dictator Batista was.

So pick your distortion.

More than 500 Batista-era officials were brought before courts-martial and special tribunals, summarily convicted and shot to death. The grainy black-and-white images of the executions broadcast on American television horrified viewers.

Castro defended the executions as necessary to solidify the revolution. He rightly pointed out that the United States had raised not a whimper when Mr. Batista had tortured and executed thousands of opponents, or continued enslavement on sugar plantations. Nevermind the poverty everywhere else outside Batista's immediate mafia run "enterprises."

All in all, given our national leaders' murderous approach to any socialist country, and their fearmongering of Americans to whip support, it says more about his love of country and culture that he and Cubans accomplished building the good country Cuba is today. Better than any Cuba before him.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
