Democratic Primaries

(1,284 posts)Some senators might refuse because they believe in the Senate they can do more good. Otherwise, democrats don't take their toys and go home. Senator Sanders will have no problem securing a quality VP pick.
I do agree the Senator from Vermont can be a curmudgeon, so focused on what he sees as right, that he ignores what is happening around him. He needs to remove insults to the "democratic establishment" from his repertoire.
I know he has refused to back candidates. Breakfast with Bernie was long a welcome show in my home. It is hard to miss that impractical streak. Yet, it is also clear Bernie cares about helping us, not those who want to turn the clock back to the days of indentured servitude.
The Senator did not demagogue Dodd Frank when the country needed reassurance and that is far superior to the attitude taken (ignorantly?) by many out of power political types.
As for Putin-- because it is Putin acting here, not the Russian people-- he wants the unindicted co-conspirator we already have in office.
Most of all, Putin wants American chaos. Why? Because only with American chaos can Putin and his band of cut throat emotionally stunted thieves, substantially rob the biggest prize of all, the United States of America.
Putin is pushing Bernie now. If it starts to look like Senator Sanders is uniting the party, Putin and his new mouthpiece Fox News, will begin pushing someone else.
Putin was once East German KGB. The Soviets believed the right pressure on the right places and they could turn our country into a failed state, complete with us out on the streets shooting at one another. When the fighting was finished, the Soviet "political scientists" predicted several states would emerge, easy pickings for them. I wish I kept copies of that Soviet gibberish from school. When the wall fell, I jubilantly threw it all away, laughing at how silly I was to seriously study a regime that died before I was thirty.
Have no doubt about it: The Soviet Union and Putin's Russia are the same entity. Putin simply dropped the ideology clothing and the corruption goes naked these days.
None of the candidates who took the stage in South Carolina support Putin's chaos.
There is only one candidate who clearly does support Putin's scheme to destabilize U.S. and he is already in the White House.
Support your preferred candidate with all your heart. Don't fall prey to Putin's sway. Keep your anger in check and your common sense flowing.
The wisdom of the American people will save us; so long as we keep our eyes on that prize-- removing from office the most corrupt president in our nation's history.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
