how many will have to declare bankruptcy after an extended stay in an American hospital? Not so many in Canada, Japan, France, Australia, et. al. And how many will get phantom bills from obscure providers who's services for some reason weren't covered by their health insurance? You know, those bills where if you can't pay they sue your ass. Nice. Seems Canadians and all the rest have no concept of that because the practice doesn't exist in their countries. Bottom line, we've got the best, most expensive care in the world....if you can afford it. If not, your fucked. Sure, we've got the infrastructure to handle COVID-19. No doubt in my mind, but the financial debacle for Americans will be far worse than the pathogen. Think I'd rather get sick in Canada. Don't you?
