(43,115 posts)Phrases were thought out beforehand, but his appeal and demeanor was of someone who can get things done. And I think that's important because voters are realizing that Bernie and Liz have policies they like but that stand little chance of passing any Congress, even a very Democratic one. After 3 years of Stable Genius, practicality is very much on voters' minds.
Bernie is kind of painted into a corner. Great ideas, coherent message, popular even, but also edgy with the complaining anger of an insurgent campaign against the party he's running with. Now that the novelty has worn off, the discontent begins to reflect on Bernie himself.
So I see little upside for Bernie. Super Tuesday may be Bernie's to lose, but it's not moving in his direction at the moment.
