Because these campaigns are so grueling and exhausting. It takes a really big person, someone who is willing to sacrifice ego for the greater good to make a statement like that.

It was a class act and Joe couldn't find a better surrogate.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
