(58,785 posts)97. Apparently some of the EU member nations have open borders
for people, not goods apparently, between them. Some other nations that aren't in the EU nevertheless also have open borders with this group. Nothing can be simple.
Once you're in this group area you can travel without passport and checks, but they're required for entering and leaving.
Frankly, imo, it's a stupid topic as entered in here. Much of it's just quarreling between factions, which supersedes real issues.
