First, his campaign has brutally attacked her personally. She knows he is at the very least indifferent to it, and likely the root of it.
So she would look cowardly to now support him. Kind of like cruz supporting trump.
Plus, he won't win, and she knows that instinctively. Joe has the best chance, and if she wants to ever be anything but a us senator her best chances are to support the party.
I just don't see her giving bernie a hat tip. Politically it would be suicide. She might even get primaried over it. I know I'd vote her out if she did that (yes, I'm a MA voter). I don't care if she is really my first choice, I wouldn't support her again if she supported bernie. Ever.

No, because many Sanders supporters wouldn't accept anything other than Sanders at the top.
