(11,373 posts)Bernie and Trump. Bernie should be willing to to share his tax returns but for me it is obvious that Trump is hiding something. His history of multiple bankruptcies, huge loans from Russian oligarchs, questionable real estate dealings, and refusal to divest himself of his businesses put him in a category by himself.
If Bernie being the nominee when all is said and done and he can beat Trump - I'm fine with that. From what I have read recently concerning many, many public officials failing to pay back taxes with no repercussions, it points out that the working class is being screwed. Most working people pay their taxrs on earned income and most wealthy people get it through capital gains. The system is rigged in favor of the wealthy and that is just a fact. Otherwise we would not have such a complex tax system.
