(1,350 posts)I'm not a moderate by any stretch of the imagination, despite having voted for moderates any number of times because I thought they were the best choice at that time to further goals that were important to me.
I voted for him in 2016. But the stuff that went on after that, particularly at the convention, really put me off. I'm still not over it, to be honest. The bully stuff then and now, the my way or the highway, us against them...nah. I don't care how liberal or progressive someone is -- if that's their go-to for dealing with people who disagree, I'm gonna be a nope.
On most things, I'm not much swayed by endorsements or spokesmodels or whatever. But when it comes to Democratic politics, John Lewis is a bellwether for me. He's practically a deity where I live. Although Biden is my third choice, the fact that John Lewis supports him makes me even more certain that voting for him is the right choice.
If Sanders wins the nomination this time, I'll vote for him, no question, but I hope he realizes he's got more than moderates and conservatives to make comfortable with his candidacy.
