In reply to the discussion: Elizabeth Warren was, in my view, a victim of two things. [View all]customerserviceguy
(25,406 posts)let's consider the ways that Elizabeth Warren undermined her own campaign.
First, there's that whole "Native American" thing. It was bad enough when she released her DNA report right during the end of the 2018 election, taking up media space that would have been better used by our candidates to flip the House from red to blue, but when I saw that Texas Bar form where she, in her own writing gave her race as "American Indian", I knew that it would be something that the GOP could effectively hit her on.
Second, she was all over the place on Medicare for All, adopting different positions on an almost weekly basis.
Third, she made a big deal out of not accepting PAC support during the campaign, until just before Super Tuesday.
Fourth, while it was fun to watch her gut Bloomie in the last two debates, and it raised a lot of money for her campaign, it made her look a bit like a scold. When she said, "How many non-disclosure agreements?" to Bloomie, I liked watching him squirm, but it called to mind the times the teacher said, "And how much of your homework did your dog eat?"
There are other little things here and there, but I believe that she sabotaged her own campaign.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
